Where to find us
 |
|
 |
| The
'Light Coast' can be
found on the south-western coast of Europe, in Andalusia, Spain.
There must be a reason for Columbus starting his journey to
America from here in 1492... |
Our
two bases, one at Mazagón Yachting Harbour (the whole year)
and the other at Punta Umbría Sea and Tennis Royal Club (only
during the summer), with several mooring places, allow us to provide
customers with an exclusive and personalised service.

|
Since
Sudoeste has a mooring place at the Duquesa
Yachting Harbour, our customers have it at their disposal
in case they want to sail towards the Straits of Gibraltar area.

MAZAGÓN
YACHTING HARBOUR
Mazagón
Yachting Harbour is established near the mouth of the Odiel River,
being considered an important summer resort. A good place for sailing,
sea bathing and long walks on the sand lovers. There is also a state-owned
hotel. A comfortable and accessible shelter every season, it always
has enough draught so as to both enter and depart without any difficulty
at all. It has at your disposal conventional floating wooden piers
in order to dock, together with one of special characteristics intended
for huge yachts. There is a distance of 17 kilometres from here
to Huelva along the N-442 road, a road towards the south-east.

PUNTA UMBRIA SEA AND TENNIS ROYAL CLUB
Punta
Umbría, at about 15 minutes from Huelva, presents near the
mouth of the estuary a classic and traditional club famous for its
sailing competitors all around the country. The entrance has recently
been dredged and the harbour is more than 100 metres wide with enough
draught on the ebb tide (4 metres).
Being
more than fifty years old, and having recently been modernised,
the Punta Umbría Sea and Tennis Royal Club has a docking
wharf and an excellent personalised service. You can find at your
disposal several lines of conventional floating wooden piers, sheltered
from the dominant south-west winds.

This
year, the 'Empresa Pública de Puertos de Andalucía'
(Andalusian Harbour Public Company) has inaugurated conventional
floating wooden piers well sheltered from the currents at the very
same centre of the resort area. Up the river, there are moorings
and buoys belonging to a sportive nautical association.
DUQUESA YACHTING HARBOUR
Located
in the middle of the 'Sun Coast', at fifteen minutes from Soto Grande
(Cadiz) and ten minutes from Estepona (Malaga), just at the Straits
of Gibraltar, this fabulous yachting harbour can be found. It comprises
restaurants, bars, boutiques and an excellent golf course with eighteen
holes, presenting excellent accesses and services next to the wharf.
The
principal harbour in the province of Malaga, it is ideal to prepare
the crossing of the Straits towards Morocco, where yachting harbours
such as that of Marina Smir pleasantly welcome the European navigators.
You
can go on excursions to the Ronda Range of Mountains, to the inner
villages of Casares (Roman ruins and Moorish castle), Manilva (Roman
baths), Genalguacil, Jubrique, Algatocín, etc. You can also
visit the area surrounding Gibraltar and 'Sitios Reales' (Royal
Places) in Sierra Bermeja at about 1,499 metres high, from where
you will enjoy magnificent panoramic views, or even go farther from
the base harbour.
