Sudoeste Club

If you fulfil your practices in our school of navigation, you will become part of the Sudoeste Yachting Club, thus having the possibility of obtaining profitable discounts besides sharing your fondness for sailing with a great number of friends.

This way, you will be able to sail along our coasts the whole year, at your own wish, organising the daily shipping together with the rest of the group and spending unforgettable journeys only reserved to true sea lovers.

We offer our customers the possibility of purchasing a ticket for 5 sailing journeys up to 4 or 6 people, valid for one year (see general terms of the contract), at a specially economic price ranging between 1,250 and 1,500 euros. (The skipper's wage is included within this price).

We could recommend you the following routes and the approximate duration of them.

Natural Park 'Marismas del Odiel' (Odiel Marshes) and Doñana National Park. One day.

Shipping early in the morning from Mazagón Yachting Harbour. We will sail along the Odiel River to, later, visit the facilities of the Natural Park Marismas del Odiel. We will spend half a day sailing along the coast of Doñana National Park.

'Río Piedras' (Stones River). El Rompido - El Terrón. Two days.

Day one .- Estimated time of departure from Mazagón Yachting Harbour at 10:00 in the morning. Stop at Río Piedras Sailing Club to have lunch. Departure towards El Terrón at 16:00 hours. Visit the harbour and museum belonging to the 'Fundación Aula Marina' (Marine Classroom Foundation). Return to El Rompido. Stay at night aboard moored at Río Piedras Sailing Club.

Day two.- Departure early in the morning so as to sail along the Río Piedras until reaching Mazagón (departure place) at sunset. Farewell party.

Sanlucar de Guadiana. Weekend.

Day one.- Estimated time of departure from Mazagón Yachting Harbour at 13:00 in the morning. We will sail and have sunbathes the whole afternoon. Stop at Ayamonte Yachting Harbour to have dinner and sleep at night aboard the ship.

Day two.- Departure towards Sanlúcar de Guadiana at 11:00 hours. Lunch and visit to the village. We will stop while going up the river at different mooring places on the Portuguese bank. Stay at night aboard.

Day three.- Departure early in the morning from Sanlúcar de Guadiana until reaching Mazagón (departure place) at sunset. Farewell party..

Sanlúcar de Barrameda - Chipiona - Coto de Doñana. From 2 to 3 days.

Day one.- Estimated time of departure from Mazagón Yachting Harbour at 10:00 in the morning. Arrival in Sanlúcar at 14:00 hours. We will be anchored opposite the Sailing Club, in 'Bajo Guía'. Lunch on mainland. Stay at night aboard the ship.

Day two.- We will sail along the Guadalquivir River beside the bank belonging to the Doñana National Park. Stay at night aboard the ship at Chipiona Yachting Harbour. Visit to the village.

Day three.- Departure early in the morning towards Mazagón.

Puerto Sherry - Bay of Cadiz. From two to three days..

Day one.- Estimated time of departure from Mazagón Yachting Harbour at 10:00 in the morning. Estimated time of arrival in Puerto Sherry at 18:00 hours. Stay at night aboard the ship.

Day two.- We will sail around the Bay of Cadiz. Lunch in Cadiz. At sunset, we will return to El Puerto de Santa María. Stay at night aboard the ship moored at El Puerto de Santa María Sailing Club.

Day three.- Departure early in the morning towards the place of departure.

NOTE: The so-called 'Semana Naútica Osborne' (Osborne Nautical Week) usually takes place during the last week of August. This way, the cruise duration could be extended for up to a whole week, visiting Conil an Barbate harbours or even crossing the Straits of Gibraltar until reaching Morocco.

Algarve (Tavira - Culatra - Armona Islands). From two to three days.

Day one.- Estimated time of departure from Mazagón Yachting Harbour at 12:00 in the morning. We will sail along the coast of Huelva and Portugal the whole day. Arrival in Tavira at 18:00 hours. Stay at night aboard the ship.

Day two.- Visit to Culatra and Armona Islands. Stay at night aboard the ship.

Day three.- Departure early in the morning towards the place of departure. Farewell party.

Sevilla - Sanlucar de Barrameda - Chipiona. From three to four days.

Day one.- Estimated time of departure from Mazagón Yachting Harbour at 10:00 in the morning. We will sail along the coast of Doñana National Park the whole morning until reaching Sanlúcar de Barrameda in the afternoon. Lunch at 'Bajo Guía' on mainland. Stay at night aboard the ship moored at Chipiona Yachting Harbour.

Day two.- Departure early in the morning so as to go up the Guadalquivir River. At 16:00 we will cross the lock in Seville to, at about 17:30, pass under the 'Puente de la Delicias' (Delights Bridge). We will be moored at Seville Sailing Club, just in the heart of the town. Stay at night aboard the ship.

Day three.- Visit to the town. Party on board.

Day four.- Departure early in the morning towards the place of departure. We will go down the river until reaching Bonanza, by the mouth of the river at 15:00 hours. Sailing along the river towards Mazagón Yachting Harbour. Estimated time of arrival at 21:00 hours.

Algarve (Tavira - Vilamoura Islands). From four to six days.

Day one.- Estimated time of departure from Mazagón Yachting Harbour at 12:00 in the morning. We will sail along the coast of Huelva and Portugal the whole day. Arrival in Tavira at 18:00 hours. Stay at night aboard the ship.

Day two.- We sail the whole day and sleep at night aboard moored at Vilamoura Sailing Club.

Day three.- We start sailing along the coast of the Portuguese Algarve. Sun, fishing and swimming while sailing on the high-sea. At sunset, we return to Vilamoura Sailing Club. Night party aboard the MARAJE.

Day four.- Return journey until crossing Santa María Cape. Visit to Culatra and Armona Islands. We will be moored at Tavira. Stay at night aboard the ship.

Day five.- Departure early in the morning from the harbour of Tavira. We will sail along the coast of Huelva and Portugal the whole day. Arrival in Mazagón at 18:00 hours. Farewell party.

Algarve (Portimao - Lagos - Vilamoura). One week.

Day one.- Estimated time of departure from Mazagón Yachting Harbour at 08:00 in the morning. We will sail along the coast of Huelva and Portugal the whole day. Stop to have lunch in Tavira. Arrival in Vilamoura at 20:00 hours. Stay at night aboard the ship moored at Vilamoura Yachting Harbour.

Day two.- We sail along the coast the whole day and sleep at night aboard moored at Portimao Yachting Harbour, in 'Praia de Rocha' (Rocha Beach). Sun, fishing and swimming while sailing on the high-sea.

Day three.- We start sailing along the coast of the Portuguese Algarve until reaching Lagos, where we will moor to have lunch. Night aboard in Lagos.

Día 4º .- Return to either Vilamoura or Portimao harbours. Night party aboard the MARAJE.

Day four.- Return journey until crossing Santa María Cape. Visit to Culatra and Armona Islands. We will be moored at Tavira. Stay at night aboard the ship.

Day five.- Departure early in the morning from the harbour of Tavira. We will sail along the coast of Huelva and Portugal the whole day. Arrival in Mazagón at 16:00 hours. Farewell party.

NOTE: Mazagón local feasts take place during the first weekend in August.
